Welcome to Woodworks 2011
April 8th and 9th, 2011
Formally known as Tools Fest, Woodworks 2011 promises to be the best year yet for this initiative by the OWA. We have a great line-up of guest speakers that you won’t want to miss. This year we have moved away from the hand tool only concept to emphasize a wider range of woodworking skills. Check out the list of topics and their timings.
This year we have author and woodworker Tom Fidgen presenting and answering questions. He will also have copies of his book for sale. Tom will be happy to sign your copy so now’s your chance to pick it up if you haven’t already.
In the Bazaar, Doug Orr and Gerry Schultz will have a great selection of antique hand tools for you to peruse and purchase. Doug is a great resource on antique hand tools and will be happy to answer your questions. Got an old tool? Why not bring it in to get more information on your treasure.
We will also have a great contest called ‘Name that Wood’ hosted by the folks at Adams and Kennedy, The Wood Source. Think you know your woods? Stop by their booth and fill out an entry. All you have to do is be the one with the most correct answers and you’ll win a gift certificate to their store.
