Part Time Sales Representative

The WoodSource (Adams and Kennedy) established in 1953, dedicated to the supply  of top

quality wood products at competitive prices by knowledgeable and helpful staff is now

accepting applications and referrals for a Part Time Sales Representative.  

Responsibilities Include:

• Sales Desk: process sales requests using the correct computer basedidentification/codes/costs/etc. Handle cash/credit/debit.
• Customer Assistance: respond to all customer requests in person/via telephone/email/etc. in a knowledgeable, polite and curious manor. Develop a positive ongoingrelationship with customers.
• In Store Maintenance: identify wood species, calculate quantity and retail sales cost,mark appropriately, store safely in the proper location.
• Perform all related tasks as requested by management.

 

Qualifications:

• Incumbent must have a good general knowledge of wood and the constructionindustry.
• Retail sales experience is a definite asset.
• Self-starter with time management and organizational skills is also required.
• Possess good oral and written communication skills (bilingualism is a definite asset).
• Have the ability to close sales and handle a variety of situations encountered duringthe sales process.

Work Hours:

• Saturdays 8am-12Noon
• Monday and Friday 10am-5pm (May-September)
• Additional days to cover staff on Holiday

Remuneration:

• Starting wage $12.00 to $15.00 per hour depending on experience.
